Need a 2009 calendar of the International Space Station?

Science - Space

NASA has you covered, with the International Space Station 2009 calendar available online. And, it’s lucky the universe is expanding because it (almost) needs to be larger just to accommodate all the information found on the calendar about the ISS and other important U.S. space facts.

For instance, did you know that Gemini 2 launched on January 19, 1965, which is also Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in the United States?

Did you know that the first liquid fueled rocket launch occurred in the United States on March 16, 1926? Yes, indeed, the year was 1926!

With Christmas time just around the corner, did you know that the first manned mission to the Moon (Apollo 8) began orbiting that body on December 24, 1968?

The calendar is available by going to the NASA International Space Station website.

Scroll down to either the article “2009 International Space Station Calendar” at the center of the page, or the “international space station calendar” on the right-hand side.

You can then download it and print it out.

Besides have the twelve months of the year 2009, you’ll also have a detailed map of the various components of the International Space Station.

Page two continues.
