The Endeavour crew (NASA mission
STS-126) is scheduled to return to Earth on Sunday, November 30, at 1:18 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) in Florida.
The return date is one day later than originally scheduled in order to continue some troubleshooting on the new Water Recovery System (WRS) onboard the ISS.
The Urine Processor Assembly (UPA) has been causing some problems and the astronauts are hoping that the extra time will be enough to get the purification system working.
The message of the military astronauts to their counterparts on Earth will be viewable on NASA Television at 9:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) on Tuesday November 25, 2008, on its standard-definition channel.
The same broadcast, but this time on NASA TV high-definition channel 105 will be viewable that same day at 8:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m.
For additional information on viewing times, please go online to
NASA TV.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, both in space and on Earth.
