NASA University Design Contest challenges students to explore Moon

The winners will be invited to the lunar technology mission tests, which are now planned for the summer or fall of 2009.

Students will be awarded paid internships for the winning of the contest.

NASA states that the contest “continues [its] tradition of investing in the nation's education programs and ties into the agency's goal of strengthening [its] and America's future workforce.”

The NASA Exploration Systems Mission Directorate, the Exploration Technology Development Program, and the Advanced Planning and Partnership Office at Langley Research Center are sponsoring the contest

Final papers are due by May 15, 2009.
