NASA Art by the Smithsonian: Fifty years

Some of the featured artwork appears at the NASA website: “NASArt gallery.”

The exhibition will begin on October 25, 2008, at the Art League of Bonita Springs, in Bonita Springs, Florida, United States.

It will travel to ten other museums over the next three years. Other museums within the tour include the Huntsville Museum of Art (Alabama), Irving Arts Center (Texas), Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center (Colorado), Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, (Laurel, Mississippis), and the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences of West Virginia (Charleston).

According to NASA, a companion book to the exhibition will be published in the autumn of 2008 by book publishing company Harry N. Abrams (New York City), under the title, “NASA | Art 50 Years of Exploration.”
