Space Station prepares for load of supplies from Russians

Progress 26, an unmanned Russian cargo ship, is to be launched  for a trip to the International Space Station to replenish supplies for Expedition 15 members.


The spacecraft is scheduled to arrive at the ISS on Sunday, August 5, 2007 with tons of cargo for the three crewmembers onboard the orbiting research laboratory.

The ship is expected to carry replacement parts for the Russian computer systems that had problems earlier in the year.

Expedition 15 members aboard the ISS are: Russian commander Fyodor Yurchikhin, Russian flight engineer Oleg Kotov, and American flight engineer Clayton Anderson.

NASA TV is expected to carry the docking activities scheduled to begin around 2:00 EDT (1800 GMT), with the docking at around 2:38 EDT.
