Construction needs cloud flexibility

Australia’s embattled construction sector could benefit from cloud based information systems that can be switched on and off in lockstep with individual projects – with the exception of those organisations based in remote areas like the Kimberleys.

UK study promotes regular exercise to slow aging

Science - Health

A U.K. researcher has looked at 25 previous studies to conclude that regular exercise is a great way to reduce the risk of developing a bunch of physical and mental health conditions such as cancers, heart attacks, and dementia. And, there is more good news!

What's just as good is the researcher also found that regular exercise slows down the speed at which the body ages.

Mr. Leslie Alford, from the University of East Anglia (Norwich, United Kingdom), studied forty scientific papers published between 2006 and 2010 from all over the world.

Some of the findings of Alford include:

'¢    Regular exercise, either moderate or intense, helps to decrease the risk of coronary heart disease, colon cancer, and strokes -- in all 25 different health conditions.

'¢    Changing from a sedentary lifestyle to one that includes regular physical activity can decrease the risk of getting some types of cancers, along with type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, depression, high blood pressure, and obesity (being extremely overweight).

'¢    Physical activity has also been found to decrease the death rates from some cancers.

Page two concludes with statements made by Mr. Alford.
