Thus, Dr. Singh-Manoux and her fellow colleagues contend that there is only a small chance that a lifestyle factor not accounted for by the study could have biased their result.
This study is one of many that are showing a link between physical and mental health and the type of diet one maintains.
It is considered the first study, however, performed in the United Kingdom that studied U.K. diets and factors leading to depression.
As diets become unhealthier around the world, physical and mental problems should also increase.
It is becoming increasingly apparent, for instance, that people are becoming more obese due to diets high in unhealthy foods and low amounts of physical activities.
Further experiments will occur in the future to see if such a link can be scientificaly established.
