The researchers concluded, according to their paper’s abstract:
“Consumption of skim milk, in comparison with a fruit drink, leads to increased perceptions of satiety and to decreased energy intake at a subsequent meal.”
The researchers contend that the higher protein content of milk over fruit drink, the lactose within milk, and the thicker consistency of milk all play roles in satisfying hunger in people throughout the mornings and helping them to eat less at lunch.
They suggest that drinking milk at breakfast may help in controlling your weight.
