Four steps are required:
Step 1: Read the Details

Step 2: Read the Topics

“Create Low-Cost Diagnostics for Priority Global Health Conditions”
• “Create New Ways to Induce Mucosal Immunit”
• “Create New Vaccines for Diarrhea, HIV, Malaria, Pneumonia and Tuberculosis”
• “Create New Tools to Accelerate the Eradication of Malaria”
Step 3: Download the Application Form
The application form includes two sections;
Section I. What is your idea? One question it asks is “
Describe the scientific basis for your idea and why you expect it to succeed.”
Section II. How will you test it? One question this section asks is:
“Describe your experimental plan, including any new technologies or tools to be developed.”
Step 4: Create an Account, Register for a Topic, and Submit your Proposal
The account is created by using the online Explorations Application Tool.

"Mark Kendall of the University of Queensland is designing nanopatches with
microscopic silicon projections coated with a malaria vaccine."
"Jay Solnick of the University of California, Davis is researching whether the
bacteria Helicobacter pylori, which can cause peptic ulcers in some people,
might enhance immunity to tuberculosis and help maintain tuberculosis in a
latent state."
