Stress may trigger itching, says study

Science - Health

The researchers discovered that when stress was introduced into the lives of laboratory mice, their immune systems caused them to scratch and itch.

They contend that such itching could also occur in humans when we get stressed out.

Such increased activity in these immune cells of the skin helps to increase the likelihood of skin disorders, including increased itching.

Eventually, if stress remains in the body, can result in skin-related diseases.

Further research on humans may help to learn more about how and why stress can cause us to itch.

In the meantime, apply an anti-itch medicine and consult with your family doctor.

Also try to chill out in order to keep your stress levels as low as possible.
