Google announced on January 13, 2010 that it has launched its first Online Science Fair for students from around the world.
The Online Science Fair, according to the Google webpage '
Welcome to the Google Science Fair', is a project that will be
''¦ looking for the brightest, best young scientists from around the world to submit interesting, creative projects that are relevant to the world today.'Check out a YouTube video on the above-mentioned webpage for more on the Google Science Fair.
Google, along with Scientific American, CERN (European Centre for Nuclear Research), the Lego Group, and National Geographic, is sponsoring the Fair.
The Google Science Fair is open to students from around the world, who are from the ages of 13 to 18 years. You will need an Internet connection and a Google account to enter.
Participating students may work as individuals or in teams of two or three. Part of the project includes a video or presentation that will provide the judges of the contest with a summary of the project.
