The book “Darwin’s Sacred Cause” by Desmond and Moore is published by
Penguin imprint Allen Lane.
An interesting recent article on Charles Darwin, based on the publication of this new book, is by ChristianityToday.com. It is entitled “
The Evolution of Darwin: The scientist's problem with God did not spring from his theory.”
An excerpt from the article states,
“It is perhaps the most controversial book of the past millennium, and the work that has since made Darwin the patron saint of modern atheism. According to Richard Dawkins in The Blind Watchmaker, ‘Darwin made it possible to be an intellectually fulfilled atheist.’”
It goes on, however, to say,
“So does a belief in evolution automatically lead to disbelief in God? Actually, Darwin didn't think that.”
Please read this article in further detail.
In addition, “
The Complete Works of Charles Darwin Online" appears on the Web by Darwin Online.
Whether you agree or disagree with the conclusions of Charles Darwin, he made a dramatic impact in the religious and scientific development of the human species.
Darwin also made, and continues to make, great impacts in other areas of human culture and society.
Page three defines both religion and evolution, and asks if you really know what both mean to you and others.
