Calm down women: Smell a man's armpit for sex

Science - Biology

The study also found that the women who were exposed regularly to the male armpit sweat compound had more regular menstrual cycle (less abnormal cycles) than the women who did not received the armpit compound.

The abstract to their paper states, “Human underarm secretions, when applied to women recipients, alter the length and timing of the menstrual cycle. These effects are thought to arise from exposure to primer pheromones that are produced in the underarm."

And, "Pheromones can affect endocrine (primer) or behavioral (releaser) responses, provide information (signaler), or perhaps even modify emotion or mood (modulator).”

See, guys, you don't need to spend a lot money on flowers, a fancy dinner, and a bunch of expensive alcohol--just give her a whiff of your armpits.

The researchers conclude, “Here we show that extracts of male axillary secretions have a direct effect upon LH-pulsing and mood of women. In our subjects, the putative male pheromone(s) advanced the onset of the next peak of LH after its application, reduced tension, and increased relaxation."

And, "These results demonstrate that male axillary secretions contain one or more constituents that act as primer and modulator pheromones."

The conclusion may sound scientific, but it really just says to go out there and SWEAT if you want to have SEX. (Well, maybe it is a tiny little bit more complicated than that ....)
