Chit Chat is a free desktop application for Windows that allows Facebook users to chat with friends and family via a clean and easy-to-use interface that is similar in style to that of Microsoft's Windows Live Messenger.
Tabs across the top of the application make it a breeze to manage multiple chats at once, while notifications of new messages allow you to read messages as soon as they are sent.
Add that to the benefit of not having to keep your web browser open during chats, and the benefits of the free application are beginning to show if you utilise the web edition of Facebook chat frequently.
While the Chit Chat Facebook software is available for download here, Chit Chat also recently unveiled a new BlackBerry application that allows users to stay in touch with friends on Facebook on the go.
