TiVo's Australian licensee, Hybrid Television '” owned by the Seven Media Group and Television New Zealand - have begun notifying customers of forthcoming downtime which will temporarily take offline a number of key TiVo services.
Yesterday TiVo customers were notified of the impending downtime of the service, which will take place beginning next Wednesday, the 3rd August and continue on and off until Monday, the 8th August.
'The outage is due to a full-on maintenance of both the TiVo and CASPA platforms to support our increased base of users,' Hybrid Television Services CEO, Robbee Minicola told iGadget Report.
'We pulled all requirements into this single event and have been planning it for the last six months.'
During the downtime, a number of key TiVo services will not be available including the CASPA On-Demand service, My Account functionality, TiVo Genie and Games and Showcases.
