Review - Plants vs Zombies

Entertainment

If you only buy one iPhone/iPod Touch app in your life it needs to be the newly-released Plants vs Zombies.

Many readers will be familiar with Popcap's masterfully cute and entertaining Plants vs Zombies for the PC.

If you're such a person, you'll be pleasantly surprised how well the game has transitioned to a smaller screen.

For those new to the title, Plants vs Zombies fits in the tower defence mould, with a series of baddies creeping their way across the screen to your base. To prevent the onslaught you must strategically place defensive units on the playing field.

Both the baddies and the defences come in a rich collection of forms and functions that have different strengths and weaknesses.

In the case of Plants vs Zombies the bad guys are zombies out to eat your brain and the good guys are, well, plants, as the name of the game might just give away.
