Game-play consists of three modes, Free-play where you can take on any of the seven challenge styles. Multiplayer and Mission round out the modes.
The story based Mission mode sees an opening cinematic done in Saturday morning cartoon style with static strip style presentation giving an overview of the challenges to come. These consist on taking on other tweens at a series of the games, where the resultant score is matched against a challenge score to determine success of failure.
Overcoming the other brats is your aim, and it is not hard to be inspired to do so.
Multiplayer is a similar set-up, select a series of challenges and go up against at least three others . For multiplayer games, EA have been kind enough to sell extra EX-3’s without the game enclosed – or you can simply point your Wii-motes at the screen and pull the trigger as normal.
Blaster choice is made at the start of each challenge, all having differing rates of fire, power, calibre and load capacity.
So the challenges: The range is pretty much what you would expect for a light-gun game aimed at the younger set.
The obvious ones are the target based, robot blasting games, done at various ranges, sometimes in the dark and with the robots retaliating by firing sticky darts at your shields. With robots zipping all over the screen in waves, carrying power-ups and hiding behind terrain your choice of blaster for each challenge becomes important.
