(NYSE: HIT), today announced the appointment of Michael McMahon to Sales Manager with responsibility for the southern region of Australia.Based in Melbourne, McMahon will drive Hitachi's sales efforts, ensuring that the company meets revenue targets and maintains a strong profile throughout the southern region. As part of his new role, McMahon will report directly to Mark Kay, Managing Director, Hitachi Australia and New Zealand. McMahon will be responsible for expanding Hitachi's channel business, building strategic relationships with accounts and working closely with the company's alliance partners to ensure continued business growth.
McMahon joins Hitachi with over a decade of experience in sales and senior level management within the Information Technology industry. Before joining Hitachi, McMahon spent ten years at IBM Australia where he held senior management roles in both commercial business and mid-market services. During his tenure at IBM, McMahon developed proven experience in services, business development and relationship management in both a channel and direct sales environment. Prior to IBM, McMahon held various sales and managerial roles within the industry.
