Nuix Releases Version 2.20

New standard in data processing, allowing complete, thorough and court-compliant electronic investigation with EnCase Enterprise eDiscovery Suite Pre-processing visibility into complex database files enabling users to select only the relevant documents that need to be processed

Nuix, developer of leading eDiscovery and electronic investigation technology for litigation support, corporate and regulatory organisations worldwide, is pleased to announce the availability of Version 2.20.  New features include Logical Evidence File support and pre-processing visibility into complex database files such as Exchange Database Files (EDBs) allowing specific custodian or file group selection for processing.

Stephen Stewart, Nuix’s chief technology officer, explained, “EnCase Enterprise users can now take digital forensics standards L01s & E01s and process directly with Nuix in a much faster and more user friendly environment.”

“There are huge savings available for EnCase Enterprise users in terms of cost and time.  Full early case assessment, which refers to preliminary analysis to estimate the cost, time and merits of a legal case before prosecution or defense begins, can now be executed across data collected with EnCase Enterprise in hours and days instead of days, weeks or more.  Nuix starts by extracting more detail much faster and finishes by enabling the user to indentify the relevant data more intuitively; reducing risk, time and cost,” commented Nuix chief executive officer Eddie Sheehy.

Nuix Version 2.20 is the only system that can examine EBD and other database files and enables users to select specific mailboxes, folders or other data subsets to process. Past versions of Nuix, as well as all other systems on the market, are only able to process the files in full, if at all, meaning unnecessary data are often processed. By analysing only the relevant data, a countless number of hours and days of work will be saved.

Nuix has a tiny hardware foot print and can scale to process any dataset, whether in the hundreds of millions or billions of documents, at a rate of multiple terabytes per day, execute a fully audited early case assessment export to common legal formats and is fully double byte Unicode compliant, meaning it processes data in all languages.
