From O4 to Quofore: name change underscores leadership in the field

Since 1998, O4 Corporation has provided many of the world’s leading consumer products manufacturers with mobile software solutions for retail execution. Along the way, O4 has gained recognition from customers and influential industry organisations alike as a pioneering thought leader in the field. Underscoring this leadership, the company today announced that it is changing its name worldwide to “Quofore” (pronounced kwõ-for).

The new name encapsulates the company’s thought leadership in the industry: Quofore derives from the Latin ‘Quo’ meaning ‘to where, for what purpose, for which reason?’ and ‘fore’ meaning ‘at the front’.

The change to “Quofore” heralds a progression in thinking, aligned with customers’ needs, from the automation of activities pushed out by back-end systems (such as customer relationship management and trade promotion planning) to a laser-like focus on the critical role of retail optimisation in today’s competitive landscape.

The new name was selected after a rigorous process that included linguistic review across twenty-four countries and six continents.

“The recent upsurge in demand for our solutions transcends international boundaries,” said Desmond Miller, CEO of Quofore worldwide. “We’ve been investing in our global expansion for some time now, so it was important that our name could also cross international borders to service customers in both modern trade and emerging markets.”

“In the past couple of weeks,” he added, “some of the inquiries we’ve received have come from as far afield as Iceland, South Africa, Ireland, India, Japan and South Korea. At the same time, our global customers continue their ‘single solution’ rollouts across Europe, Asia and the Americas”.

These include multi-country implementations in EMEA for one of the world’s largest household Consumer Products corporations. And, in the Asia Pacific region, where Quofore has opened its most recent office in Singapore, projects are underway in a number of countries, including a 30,000 user engagement in China.
