Sydney, 24 June 2009 - Logica, a leading IT and business services provider and Sony Ericsson have signed an agreement whereby Logica will expand its delivery of support to Sony Ericsson for Sony Ericsson’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. The agreement is for five years and covers basic and supplemental services.
Logica has provided consultants to Sony Ericsson’s global PLM support since 2006 and the assignment has been focused on Sony Ericsson’s Swedish operations. The assignment is now being expanded to a total delivery whereby Logica will supply SLA-based support to users of Sony Ericsson’s PLM systems globally. The assignment is based on Logica’s blended delivery model and the service will be delivered from both Sweden and from Logica’s operations in India.
Commenting on the win, Björn Ziegenfeldt, Account Director for Sony Ericsson at Logica, said,
“We have many years of successful cooperation with Sony Ericsson and I am delighted that we are now being entrusted to expand delivery of our support services.
“An important element in the extended cooperation has been the combination of our ability to work locally with the customer, our in-depth knowledge and understanding of our customers’ business and our ability to provide an international delivery model. This ensures both the quality and cost efficiency in our delivery to the customer,” he added.
