Sybase 365 Mobile Commerce Solution Leads Market According To Industry Luminaries

Sybase 365, a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY), the global leader in mobile messaging and mobile commerce services, today announced that over the last six months, Sybase 365 has been recognised by several prominent analysts, publications and industry associations as a dominant player in the mobile commerce space.

• Aite Group, LLC: In January 2009, Aite Group’s Mobile Banking Vendor Evaluation Report ranked 14 vendors in the mobile banking technology space. Sharing first place for a triple-play solution (mobile internet browser, downloadable application and text messaging) was paybox (now integrated into Sybase 365).

• ABI Research: In ABI’s non-NFC mobile commerce Vendor Matrix report, the Sybase 365® mobile commerce solution is ranked number one for implementation and innovation. Vendors are evaluated on the basis of innovation and implementations related to multiple criteria and are assigned numerical scores that provide overall rankings for each vendor.

• TowerGroup: In March 2009, TowerGroup released its annual Leadership and Market Dynamics Matrix that positioned the Sybase 365 mBanking offering in the Leaders Quadrant, a move from the Technovator Quadrant in 2008.

• Arthur D. Little: In April 2009, after extensive market research and interviews with more than 70 industry experts from 35 countries, the global management consulting company, issued the fourth update of its Global mPayment Report 2009. The report classifies markets according to their mPayment maturity and re-confirms the global leadership position of Austria where all operators have endorsed the mobile payment standard enabled by Sybase 365.
