Consulting company, Frost & Sullivan, has announced three new staff appointments based in the company’s Sydney offices providing a boost to the company’s analyst and consulting capability in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Phil Harpur has been appointed Senior Research Manager in Digital Media and Telecommunications. Harpur has over 13 years of ICT research experience as a market analyst and was most recently Senior Analyst at BuddeComm where he covered a wide range of research in the ANZ telecommunications and Digital Media sectors.
Harpur has become recognised as one of the region’s leading telecommunications market analysts, with particular expertise in the residential sector. He has previously also held market analyst positions at Gartner/Dataquest with a particular focus on the e-commerce market and strategic research.
Anand Balasubramanian has joined Frost & Sullivan as a Consultant and was previously a Business Analyst in the ICT division of the Queensland Government. During his two years in the Queensland public sector his work predominantly involved consulting with internal clients for enhancements to the department’s IT systems.
Prior, Balasubramanian worked at Telstra BigPond where he was involved in managing Internet & broadband products and services. He holds a Masters degree in Information Systems from Griffith University and a Bachelors degree in Computer Applications from Madras University, India.
Ryan Taibel has been appointed Senior Business Development Manager with responsibility for driving the company’s sales and account management activities in the Telecommunications and Digital Media space.
Taibel brings an experienced consultative sales approach to Frost & Sullivan having worked for ten years in management and sales roles in the electronic payments and billing industries. He served in numerous sales management positions with Ruesch International in Washington D.C. before assuming an executive management role with Travelex in Sydney. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, Gainesville, and received his MBA from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business.
