JadeLiquid Software has been named as the finalist representing the State of Tasmania in the 2009 Australian Innovation Shootout, taking place in January in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley.
JadeLiquid, founded in 2002 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, is the world’s leading provider of Java-based web content rendering components for deployment within enterprise applications and web services. Its revolutionary WebRenderer product is used by organizations ranging from the Encyclopedia Britannica to IBM and the European Space Agency. JadeLiquid’s Java components enable software developers to streamline Java application development, cutting development time. Its latest offering, LiquidTest, is built upon its existing technology stack and continues with JadeLiquid’s history of innovation.
“We look forward to presenting our newest product LiquidTest, a Web Testing tool based on Browser Automation, for the distinguished panel of judges at this year’s Innovation Shootout,” said Anthony Scotney, JadeLiquid’s CEO. “I am confident that our unique, advanced technology will present well in this competition.”
The Innovation Shootout is sponsored by the six State Governments of Australia, each of which selects a local company that has developed a cutting edge technological advancement as its state finalist. Finalists will give presentations about their companies on January 13th during the Innovation Fast Pitch, taking place at the Business Technology Center, run by the Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles. They will then travel to the Bay Area to participate in the Innovation Shootout on January 15th at the Quadras Conference Center in Menlo Park. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges including technology experts, members of the media, and venture capitalists.
“JadeLiquid is one of the most successful start ups to ever come out of Tasmania,” said the Honorable Michelle O’Byrne, Member of the Australian Parliament and Tasmanian Minister for Tourism. “We have every confidence that JadeLiquid will show the best our state has to offer at the Innovation Shootout in California.”
