Centennial Launches DeviceWall 4.6 to Help CMF/DLP Vendors Introduce Endpoint Security Solutions

Centennial Software, developer of IT asset discovery and endpoint security solutions, today announced the latest version of its award-winning endpoint security software, Centennial DeviceWall 4.6, available in a Standard or OEM-specific Content Aware Editions. The new editions not only makes DeviceWall the most complete endpoint security product for the enterprise, but has also been optimised for content management and filtering (CMF), data loss prevention (DLP) and other security suite vendors, allowing them to quickly and easily integrate endpoint security functionality into existing security products. New to 4.6 are enhancements to encryption, device support, policy management and more.

Recently named the “Recommended” product by SC Magazine in a May 2007 group test of USB security products, DeviceWall enables IT managers to centrally manage and protect their networks from the threats associated with portable storage devices such as iPods, USB sticks and smart phones. The new product has been optimised to allow OEM partners – such as CMF and DLP vendors – to quickly and easily augment existing security solutions and bring new products to market fast.  This includes branding packages, sales and marketing infrastructure, and support for other OEM and channel partners.

DeviceWall 4.6 also includes:
a new user-based policy view that expands on the existing device-based view
per-user and per-device class logging controls
greater granularity and control of emerging device types
MS SQL 2005 and MS SQL 2005 Express support
