Network Appliance, a leading provider of enterprise storage solutions, has opened an office in Brisbane to provide channel partners and customers with a Queensland-based point of contact and offer a dedicated local resource. As part of this announcement, NetApp has appointed Cathy Conroy as Queensland state manager. In this newly created position, Conroy will focus on strengthening relationships with existing Queensland customers and partners and increasing the NetApp presence in the Queensland market. Conroy’s key responsibilities will include establishing strategic channel relationships, fostering existing partnerships and providing on-the-ground support for customers.
Conroy has worked at NetApp since August 2006, previously holding the role of New South Wales channel manager. Prior to joining NetApp, she spent seven years with Sun Microsystems, where she gained extensive experience in channel and commercially focused roles, including two years as NSW commercial account manager.
Peter O’Connor, managing director for NetApp Australia and New Zealand said, "Our expansion in Queensland is the next logical step in our Australian business, as it allows us to provide a stronger focus and more personalised service for our customers in that market. NetApp products are currently installed in a number of significant Queensland accounts covering industries including finance, education, construction and IT.
"Cathy Conroy is our ideal candidate for this new locally focused role, thanks to her many years experience working closely with the channel and the excellent results she gained in her previous role within NetApp as NSW channel manager. We look forward to some equally exciting results in Queensland."
The NetApp Brisbane office is open now and Conroy’s appointment is effective immediately.
