Rittal Launches New Performance for Server Cooling

Sydney, 4 June 2007 - Rittal, a leading worldwide provider of IT infrastructure technologies, has today announced the Australian launch of its Liquid Cooling Package (LCP) Plus which sets a new standard in performance for liquid-based server cooling.

The LCP Plus addresses the problems posed by the introduction of high density server environments and the associated cooling issues. Specific advantages of the LCP for data centre managers include the consistent and even distribution of chilled air in front of the 19" level, high airflow rates to meet the demands of the server, redundancy options to meet data centre standards and provision for a cooling performance of up to 30 kW.

The LCP also possesses its own regulation system, which can be integrated into a monitoring network via a Computer Multi Control Top Concept (CMC-TC). Users benefit from comprehensive safety features and remote access over an IP network.

“The constantly increasing packing densities and ever increasing processor speeds of computer systems are causing thermal problems that need to be considered right at the planning stage of IT systems, racks and computer centres.

“Cooling and energy efficiency solutions such as this LCP will continue to form a pivotal part in our product strategy which also includes rack, power, security, monitoring and remote management,” said Mark Roberts, RimatriX5 Product Manager.

LCP has been tested and approved for both TÜV and GS certifications, which guarantee proven safety.
