Home People Moves Yellowfin finds its CMO in the US

BI and analytics software vendor Yellowfin has appointed Chris Benham as its chief marketing officer.

“Chris has a proven track record for building corporate brands, aligning a culture to a brand promise and then ensuring a company actually delivers on that promise,” said Yellowfin chief executive and Australian founder, Glen Rabie.

“We’re on target to grow the business by 50 percent year-on-year. The scale of our current business means there is no better time for Yellowfin, our customers and partners to reap the benefits of Chris’ expertise.”

Although Yellowfin has its headquarters and development centre in Melbourne, Benham will be based in Boulder, Colorado.

Benham was most recently CMO at Avast Software.

He previously served as CMO and vice-president of corporate marketing at Webroot Software and vice-president of corporate marketing at Wyse.

Benham has also held a series of marketing leadership roles at Symantec, culminating in becoming vice-president of global enterprise marketing.

In addition, he performed senior marketing roles at Entercept Security Technologies, Sanctum and Aurigin Systems.

Benham holds a BA in English and a BS in journalism, both from the University of Kansas.
