New generation of the popular Outlook add-on released

Post your announcement here

Karlsruhe, 12th May 2012 - Released at the end of April by the Karlsruhe-based company Axonic, Lookeen 8 is the latest generation of the renowned Outlook add-on. This Outlook search tool effectively manages e-mail chaos with new indexing strategies, such as Hybrid indexing, and provides advanced features for use within companies.

Integrated real-time indexing

What was produced in Lookeen 3.7 beta is now an integral part of Lookeen 8: the real-time indexing allows the immediate synchronization of Lookeen indexes. New e-mails, moved folders, and deleted data is immediately detected and updated by Lookeen in the index, without compromising computing power. "A typical example from your work life: an employee creates and saves a bill to the network," said CEO Martin Welker. "Thanks to Lookeen, all other employees can search and find that same file, in real-time!”

New group policies

The Lookeen Business and Enterprise Editions, with centralized management capabilities, facilitate both company-wide license key distribution and the administration of installation rollout across the entire company. For this purpose, the functionality of Group Policy has been significantly extended. IT administrators are also provided with ADM files and a comprehensive GPO-Guide. The Enterprise Edition can also use and search additional external indexes.

Free Trial

Since its release in January 2008, more than 20,000 Outlook users and businesses in over 80 countries have purchased Lookeen. Lookeen has twice won (in 2010 and 2011) the coveted Reader’s Choice Award ‘Outlook add-on of the Year’ from the U.S. website about.com. The full version of Lookeen 8 can now be tested free of charge, for a two-week period. To download Lookeen for Windows, go to www.lookeen.net
