An interesting blog from Florida Today concerns the topic as to whether NASA's top administrator Michael Griffin will stay at NASA after the next president—either Republican candidate John McCain or Democratic candidate Barack Obama—is elected at the end of 2008.
The blog is found at Florida Today: “

The blog states that Senator Nelson, of Florida, says,
"I think whoever the next president is, we're going to request to him that he keep you as administrator of NASA.”
However, Griffin’s decision to stay or not will depend, according to the blog, on the direction the new administration wants to take NASA.
One direction, Griffin is assumed to stay at NASA. The other direction, Griffin is assumed to say Adios.

As a short description, Michael Douglas Griffin is a U.S. physicist, aerospace engineer, and the present administrator of NASA. He has been its top honcho since April 13, 2005.
As the head of the U.S. space agency, Dr. Griffin oversees such areas as the future of human spaceflight. He has had an active role in the future of the Hubble telescope and the understanding of the Earth’s climate.
He had previously worked at NASA in various positions, including the associate administrator for Exploration. When he was nominated as chief NASA administrator, Dr. Griffin was working as the head of the Space Department at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, Maryland.
