Endeavour is awaiting its liftoff on Launch Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center. A photograph was recently taken of it.
USA Today picked up the story on Friday, July 13, 2007, and I’m just passing it on.
Go to the article “Houston, we have a type” by Florida Today writer Todd Halvorson at: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/space/2007-07-13-endeavour-typo_N.htm
Author’s note: Of course, nobody is perfect. The "USA Today" article, by Halvorson, states the correct launch pad for the mission, 39A, while the photograph caption indicates launch pad 39b.
We really need to poke fun at ourselves once in a while because we all make mistakes, from NASA, newspapers, science writers (like myself), and everybody else. If we didn't, we wouldn't be human, would we?
So, let's all endeavor to be better, or is that all endeavour to be better? Oh, just try your best!
