Opinion and Analysis

Live in London? Looking for something to do this Friday? Canonical are looking for volunteers to perform usability testing of the Ubuntu Empathy instant messaging client. A paid incentive awaits!

Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, surely the most popular Linux distribution today, are seeking paid volunteers to test out the Empathy instant messaging (IM) system.

Canonical are hoping to find a rich variety of users – experts and novices alike, both in Empathy and IM in general. It doesn’t matter if you have prior familiarity with Linux or Empathy. Couples are welcomed.

The only catch is you need to decide quickly - the testing kicks off this Friday, January 29th, and continues on next week.

Nevertheless, here is your chance to shape the future of instant messaging in Linux. Hate something? Want to see something else? Tell Canonical about it in person.

You can e-mail iain at canonical.com directly to get all the necessary information.
