Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
In a sign of how compelling social networking has become, Jonathan G. Parker of Fort Loudon, Pennsylvania stopped to log into Facebook - on the computer in the house he was allegedly robbing at the time.
The victim discovered she had been burgled on August 28th after discovering a bedroom window had been broken along with signs of a robbery like cabinets left open.
Fortunately her computer had not been stolen although two diamond rings worth more than $3,500 in the same room were missing.
Later, the victim noticed that Facebook was open on her computer, logged in as one Mr Jonathan Parker, 19.
While police from Berkeley County investigated, a friend of the victim said he knew where Parker was staying and it was in the same local area as the victim’s house.
Police spoke to a resident at the address who said Parker did not live there but did stop by on occasion. The night before the break in Parker had invited him to participate in the robbery but he had declined.
Parker is presently in custody at Eastern Regional Jail on $10,000 bail awaiting trial.
Personally, I’d be interested to know what Parker put down as his Facebook status. "Jonathan is robbing a house lol" maybe?
