Battlefield 2142 is a difficult game for 'newbs' to get into; Electronic Arts has made it somewhat easier this weekend.


Starting this Saturday (17th Feb), BF2142 players online will have access to all normally locked equipment for the weekend.

BF2142 has an inbuilt system of awards and rewards of previously unobtainable equipment.  This encourages players to diligently start at the lower ranks and move up the promotion ladder as their game-time and experience increase.

Of course this can also be a frustrating process for those of us starting at the bottom, as other players are hurling grenades or picking us off with high-end Zeller-H Advanced Sniper Rifles.

So all this weekend, EA have unlocked the goodies online, everybody on an even keel for two days of high tech mayhem.  Have fun, more details can be found at the official site.
