Wii will, Wii will rock you – Guitar Hero comes to Nintendo

Opinion and Analysis

Already a popular established franchise on the PlayStation 2, Activision has strongly hinted the party favourite (along with other Activision heavy weight titles) will head to the Nintendo platform.

Mike Griffiths, CEO of Activision, has mentioned the game publisher will follow Electronic Arts direction of increased support for the Nintendo games machines, both Wii and DS.

During his Q3 2007 Preliminary Financial Results conference call he said; “The key difference in our strategy versus the prior cycle, is that in addition to full support on Sony and Microsoft platforms, we will aggressively target the Nintendo platforms consistent with our multi-platform strategy and Nintendo's expected growth. In fiscal 2008, we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Spider-Man, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero”

Now what will GH look like on the Wii? Will we get another shiny wireless guitar controller (which seems only apt) or will it be a Wii-mote and Nunchuck set up?  In which case I hope the game includes a couple of retro Who tracks.  Imagine doing Pete Townshend windmill sweeps, Nunchuck in hand.
