Opinion and Analysis
Atari has announced the ultimate giant monster fighting game. Just how in the heck are we supposed to fight Godzilla with the Wii-mote?
Coming to the hand-held platforms of the Nintendo DS and Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) as well as the player fatiguing controller system of the Nintendo Wii,
Godzilla: Unleashed promises a slew of destructible 3D sky scrapers and towering alien formations as the playthings of monsters.
"The iconic Japanese giant goes from strength to strength, taking the franchise in new directions not least with the unprecedented dynamic control afforded by the unique Wii controller," said Cyril Voiron, Marketing Director, Atari Europe. "With multiple story paths, players can choose exactly how they want to release the beast within and wreak their own brand of spectacular urban devastation."
In what could be physically draining for Wii owners, players are asked to claw, kick, stomp, throw and blast their way to become King of the Monsters.
Atari promise an innovative non-linear storyline as the backdrop to giant monster fighting mayhem.
