Those whacky guys over at endgaget have out done them-selves this time. Over the past few weeks they have been deep in the lab piecing together a portable version of the new Nintendo wonder console.
Once fired up, the familiar Wii interface is present, with the sensor bar build into the top of the screen. The sensor bar is set narrower to allow the Wii-mote to be used at closer range.
Other features include a built in power supply and Gamecube contoller port.
There is a video on the site showing the Wii laptop in use. Well-done lads, but one point - next time you play Wii Sports, use the Wii-mote wrist strap. We don't want the gadget you have spent so much time on being destroyed during a vigorous tennis rally.
Don't expect to see this on sale soon - gosh it is hard enough to find an existing Wii at the moment. But, also expect Nintendo to show some possible interest in furthering this idea in the future.
