Drawn To Life comes to the Wii (as well as a new iteration on DS) with Draw To Life: The Next Chapter.  As in the original, spending time drawing in elements used in the game is a joy that is only marginally hampered by the Wii-mote control system, a little less accurate than the stylus of a DS.

My time with DTL: TNC was that of a standard (and forgiving) 2D platformer, with crisp visuals aided by the addition of my in-game creations. 

At certain sections, and with a flick of the Z button, your avatar can leap onto your own on screen platforms, limited only by the delineated space and a supply of paint.  This is a nice innovation to the original game-play that works well on the Wii.

I also observed other diversional mini-games such as a fully fledged basket-ball challenge that looked fun to be part of.  DTL: TNC looks like a must-have purchase for the family orientated Wii owner.

I grabbed the reigns of a comic Wolverine to take on Captain America, Silver Surfer and The Crimson Dynamo in a bout of Marvel Super Hero Squad fun from De Blob developer Blue Tongue.

This intellectual property is a spin off from the Hasbro base toy line begun in 2006 and being pushed extra hard this year with this video game and an accompanying TV series.

Whilst the visuals feel a little like super babies with the comic rendition of the various characters, the brawling action is solid using both Wii-mote and Nunchuck control. 

Despite the four-way close quarters battling, the action never felt overly chaotic.  It was an enjoyable and manageable romp that provided a number of climactic and close finishes during the nights play.

My impression of the playable upcoming THQ/CAPCOM stable of releases, based on a couple of hours during the week was lots of love for the Wii and plenty of “pretty” to look forward to early next year with Darksiders on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
