Within the game, which is timed, each level of crossword is given a pool of hint points.  Hint points can be spent on changing the word clue, inserting a correct letter and so on right up to the full word being inserted.crosswords1.jpg

As players write letters in each box, the view automatically shifts either across or down to the next vacant square, making the experience just as quick as the normal paper crossword.

At the end of each puzzle, a player is rated on speed and hints used.

The one big flaw?  U.S. English only!  So no ‘U’ for you ‘color’ and you will need to be organised with ‘Z’.

Now if only Nintendo could deliver the daily news through the Wi-Fi network, and this title would be all that is required for a workday commute.
