Review: Ninja Reflex

Opinion and Analysis

Ahha! I thought, finally a sword wielding game that can take advantage of the Wii-mote, but unfortunately Ninja Reflex is more gag-reflex than Ninja.

Popping Ninja Reflex into the Wii’s blue lit slot was done so with a level of hope that perhaps was totally unfounded, as it was purely on the basis of the games cover and name only.

Sensei greats us, and implores that the way of the Ninja is through not only speed, reflex and strength but also through relaxation and meditation.  No worries, but lets get it on with some Ninja action.

Ninja Reflex is –another- mini-game title for the Nintendo Wii, already overflowing with similar and superior examples.

After choosing a suitable or perhaps totally unsuitable Ninja name (Lovely Dove!), budding Ninja’s are awarded their starting white belt.

Consisting of six categories, players must complete at least five of the categories to progress to a ‘belt test’ where the ever present Sensei will spring some randomly chosen mini-games to rate our ability to move through the 11 grades of belt colour.
