Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Though the logo that sports this follow-up to the original 2006 game is clearly aimed at folks over the age of 15, there is no doubt that Bully: Scholarship Edition will come to the notice of various media outlets as the release date draws close.
From the story :Rated for children aged 15 and above, the game is being released for the XBox 360 and the Nintendo Wii, a games console on which players have to physically act out the movements they want their character to perform.
Niall Cowley, of the charity BeatBullying, said: "We're disappointed this game was created in the first place. Some mindless people thought this was a fun, interesting piece of software to create, but it undermines all the hard work that organisations like ours are seeking to do.
"Our philosophy is about educating young people that bullying is not a cool thing to do, and this leaves us with a bad taste in the mouth."
Mr Cowley said that when an earlier version of the game was launched in 2006, Rockstar tried to persuade his group to back the game by offering a donation.
"It was the most distasteful thing in the world - the idea that we could be bought off like that," he added.
"We have the interests of the children of this country in our mind, not of the shareholders of this company."
Undoubtedly RockStar Games will be secretly chuffed with the raising profile of the upcoming release. In 2006 the original Bully game was given a name change to Canis Canem Edit, partly because of the differing interpretation between U.S and U.K use of the “Bully” term. This time around though, the provocotive RockStar are not hinting at a further diluting of the franchise this time around.
Any early moral critics would do well to try the game out before launching into a Bully tirade. The original game was a high quality and fun simulation of life as a 15 year old. Not the junior overlord training software many moral crusaders described prior to its release.
