Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Visually, Halo was always sumptuous even on the original Xbox, though Halo 2 made the aging platform earns its keep, pushing the hardware over the edge sometimes.
With the Xbox 360 came a chance to let loose. Though Halo 3 is a feast for the eyes, it is no longer a stand out on a platform that brings stunning visuals with almost every title released.
Halo 3 gives us a familiar look with the outside settings, pristine forest settings with high cliff's, swaying foliage and crisp bubbling brooks. It is a step up from Halo 2, but in its familiarity keeps the continuity of story and feel.
Where things have changed is indoors. Bungie has lessened the endless same looking corridor experience of the past titles for tighter and varied indoor sections. The result is less old-school shooter.
There are also bigger set pieces; you will punch the air with triumph when MC finally brings down his first, gigantic Scarab tank.
There are some issues with clipping and a number of interesting bugs towards the end of the single player campaign that send MC flying through the 'fourth wall' for no reason. Nothing disastrous, worthy of a class action or anything.
For multiplayer fans, new tools have arrived in the form of improved match making, a theatre for viewing, editing and taking screenshots of your exploits.
Then there is Forge, a map arrangement editor. Using any of the Halo 3 multiplayer maps, gamers can alter the placement of objects (weapons, vehicles, obstacles etc.) to make subtle or major changes to subsequent multiplayer battles. Nice idea.
Story wise, the Halo trilogy is tied up nicely, and I won't give it away here. For my money the single player campaign could have been extended a little, but there is plenty of meat in the title come multiplayer.
Next up for Halo fans will be Halo Wars, but until then finish the fight with Halo 3, over and over again.
