No PSP price drop for you PAL

Opinion and Analysis

The PlayStation Portable has had a price “correction” in the US. But Sony says no plans for similar decrease in the PAL regions.

US retailers GameStop and EB games amongst others have announced a drop in the Core pack for PSP to US$169.99

This is a significant saving of US$30 from yesterday.

The Core Pack simply gives you the basic PSP and battery adapter.

A quick call to Sony Entertainment in Sydney yesterday confirmed that there are currently no plans to have this price correction permeate into the PAL regions.

With all the rumours of redesign and price drops ahead, making the call to grab a PSP at the moment is a bold one indeed.
