Good at Gears of War? Enter the official world tournament

Epic has announced a tournament to find the world’s grittiest, foul-mouthed and best Gears of War player.

For four weeks, players can compete on Xbox live with the top 11 finalists receiving a trip to Prague for the final.

The top four ranked players will also get a berth at the 2007 World Cyber Games National Championship event also in Prague.

Why Prague, because according the Epic – the games designers were inspired by the beautiful city to produce the ‘destroyed beauty’ of the games main settings

Cliff Bleszinski, Gears of War producer said "We are thrilled to offer the chance for gamers across the world to come together and share the glories of blowing apart someone into little chunks. May the best man, or Locust, win."

Registration has already begun and continues until April 29 with the tournament kicking off on April 9 to May 6th
