Sony have today announced a fresh coat of paint for their gaming work-horse

From the 15th of March throughout Australia you will be able to get your hands on a hot pink version of the most dominant games console of all time, the PS2.

In an obvious push to establish the PS2 as the social gaming gadget of choice, exploiting franchises such as Buzz (quiz games), Eye Toy and SingStar this musk coloured device is set to allure more female gamers into the Sony empire.

"Games such as SingStar have really heightened the appeal of the PlayStation 2 for a whole new diverse audience, who may not previously have considered themselves ‘gamers’,” said Raoul Bedford, SCE Aust. Director of Marketing.
