As a hardcore gamer though, you don’t care so much, you are looking forward to the next-gen gaming goodness over the horizon, although secretly praying that God of War II is on the list when it appears.
In a few weeks time all the cards will be on the table, the gaming niches have been defined and for a lot of consumers the questions will now begin to appear. After the “hump” of hardcore technophile sales, it is time for the finger-crossing in the electronic entertainment camps.
You have some disposable income, you do not consider yourself a hard-core gamer, in fact you have a family, job, reasonably consistent eating times and a healthy social life. But feel like updating the entertainment tech around the house. Which way do you go?
If this is your first foray into the game console arena then the PS3 is an expensive option with the real attraction at this point being Blu-ray, and the ease of multimedia functionality. Gaming wise, the catalogue will need to expand to cater to a wider range of demographic.- which will happen over a relatively short period of time.
