Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
McIntyre, who took over the reins on April 17, said in a post sent to a number of Debian mailing lists, that the review was something he had pledged to do after being elected.
He emphasised that the process was aimed only at finding ways to make the project work better and that teams which included him would also be part of the review.
McIntyre set a date of May 25 as the deadline for submission of answers to a questionnaire which he had drafted.
He said he would work through the submissions himself and see what improvements needed to be made.
"Those (improvements) may include trying to recruit more people to help with a task, giving a team more publicity or hugs (or whatever) so they feel better loved by the rest of us, or even something as simple as buying them beer and saying thanks for a job well done. If we need to spend some of Debian's money to make something work better, then I'll consider that too. At this point, (almost) anything is possible and I'm not going to rule anything out," he wrote.
Broadly, the questions McIntyre has drafted fall into three categories - the individual, the team of which he/she is a part of and relations with other teams.
The project has tentatively set September as the month for releasing its next stable version, Lenny.
