10 reasons E-Week's 10 reasons are a PITA

Opinion and Analysis

Every single day, E-Week has another set of 10 reasons to do this, or that, or something else. Are you sick of it yet?

E-week is the master of the 10 reasons article, as is the main culprit: Don Reisinger. It seems like every day he has another 10 reasons to do this, or that. Or to not buy this, or that. Or whatever.

So, let's go off on a satirical journey of our own, with 10 reasons to give E-week's 10 reasons shtick a miss.

1. E-week always has to have 10 reasons, we never see a 9 reasons or 1 reason or 50 reasons. It's always 10, and that's very decimal.

2. The reasons often seem to be a bit of a stretch, as in "oh shoot, I have to come up with 10 damn reasons, so I wonder if I can re-use this one by changing it a little, will my readers notice?"

3. It's an obvious ploy for traffic. Rather than coming up with some clever headline, it's always the same damn thing: 10 reasons, 10 reasons, 10 reasons.

4. It shows a lack of originality.

5. The 10 reasons are always stretched over at least two pages when they could obviously fit on one.

For the next five incredibly amazing reasons, please read on to page two.
