Australia's 13th Apple Store is set to open this weekend, but unlike the iPad 2, which features an 'entirely new design' and is 33% thinner, Apple's new store is likely to be a mostly carbon copy of its existing winning designs.

No, it's not an Apple Store that's 33% thinner, featuring an entirely new design, with longer battery life and opening hours, ever smarter geniuses and 15% fewer photons, it's simply a surprise new Apple Store in Hornsby.

Although Sydney's North Shore already has an Apple Store in Chatswood, Hornsby is another 30-40 minutes north and will bring Apple's technologies and customer service closer to ever more people.

Apple also has a store in Castle Hill, and in the suburbs of Newcastle even further north, so Apple certainly is ensuring that the people of Sydney and surrounds have more Apple stores than ever to visit, shop from and pay their respects at.

After all, Apple's stores are half electronics nirvana and half technological temple, so why not pay your respects to the great technologists at Apple while paying for your latest Apple technologies?

Well, that's up to you, of course, but if you're a resident of Hornsby of the many surrounds, and an Apple fan, you should be delighted. If, on the other hand, you're an authorised Apple reseller'¦ they're probably still hiring at the Apple Store.

The store opens at 10am this Saturday, 24th of September, at the local Westfield Shopping Centre.

Those who attend should be one of a lucky 1000 to get a free black Apple Hornsby T-Shirt.

Those who attend will also witness one of the most amazing retail sights you'll ever see: Apple employees who will be revved up like you wouldn't believe at about 9.40am to start whooping, cheering, yelling and celebrating the new Apple launch - if past launches are any guide.

They'll then proceed to cheer for about an hour so everyone that comes into the store feels like a rock star.

And that's it. Have fun if you decide to attend, look out for that free Apple T-Shirt, and see for yourself the dedication Apple Store employees must give the company, alongside a retail shopping experience that is still unchallenged by the rest of the world's largely unimaginative retailers.
