Exclusive: new Apple “MacPad” revealed, beats iPad?

Opinion and Analysis

The trend for Apple to create larger versions of its existing products has culminated in a curious leak from the Kingdom of Crunch, with an exclusive picture showing just what the next “MacPad” will look like!

From all things great and small to all things great and big, it looks like Steve Jobs has decided it’s time to upsize* more of Apple’s products!

Upsizing is a concept common to most westerners who have ever travelled to a fast food restaurant. You can get the cheaper “small” version, pay a bit more for the “medium” size, or go the whole hog and get the “large” version.

This has happened with the iPad, described by many as a larger version of an iPod Touch, and it has even worked in the “opposite” direction, with some calling the iPhone the new “iPad Nano”.

But why should Apple stop with enlarging the iPod Touch? What about the rest of the Apple range?

Couldn’t a larger MacBook, or “MacPad”, be something that would interest users – especially those with large fingers, thumbs and hands?

For example, someone like “The Hulk” with his enormous hands may very well be a prime (and primate) candidate.

The desire for ever bigger and better is often unstoppable, and no doubt when Apple launches its “MacPad” later this year, our secret squirrels within the core of Apple could be right on the money with the exclusive photo that we’ve sneakily received.
